My love for oil began not in the kitchen, but in my childhood. I was fascinated by the gentle hum of the oil presses and the intense, sweet scent of freshly pressed oil that filled the room. These formative experiences awakened my passion for artisanal production.
Later, I learned the traditional art of oil pressing from my parents. They not only produced olive oil from their own cultivation but also various macerates (oil extracts), which opened up the incredible variety of aromas in the world of specialty oils to me.
Science Meets Craft: My Commitment to Quality
My calling as an oil specialist was shaped by my background as a trained biomedical analyst and my experience in the Cantonal Laboratory for Food Control in Switzerland. This profound knowledge of food safety and quality assurance is the scientific basis of my work. I understand not only the sensory but also the health effects of high-quality, cold-pressed organic oils.
When I started producing cold-pressed oils myself, I was driven not only by a passion for the process but above all by the certainty of creating an absolutely pure and healthy product. The decisive moment for the founding of Josty Naturprodukte was the experience of how these oils positively influenced the well-being of my family and friends. I wanted to share these precious treasures of nature with others.
Today, I am proud to serve as your Swiss contact person for cold-pressed organic specialty oils. Each of my 11 unique organic oils – including black cumin oil, flaxseed oil, and apricot kernel oil – is produced for you with artisanal care and knowledge of its special properties.
